Programmes to be offered form PG Campus Gandhinagar.
Programmes at Sr. No. 12 to 16 are of two-years’ duration.
(NID reserves its right to cancel any of the test centers or educational programmes announced or conduct the programmes form any of the three campuses).
10% seats in PG are reserved for SAARC region / foreign countries/ NRI candidates on supemumerary basis.
POST- GRADUATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN DESIGN (PGDPD)
Eligibility criteria for PGDPD: Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree (Including those appearing for the qualifying examinations during the academic year 2007 – 08). Those applying for more than one programme should send in separate application forms. One cannot apply for more than two Programmes.
Upper age limit: 27 Years (relaxable by 3 years for reserved categories) as on 1.6.2008. Candidates with relevant work experience are preferred. This 2 to 2 ½ year PG programme is offered in the following disciplines under its five faculty streams.
(Pre-requisite qualifications are given in brackets).
DESIGNING OPPORTUNITIES ADMISSION INFORMATION:
Forms and information, can be obtained form academic Office, NID, Ahmedabad Directly by sending a demand Draft on any Scheduled Bank payable at Ahmedabad for Rs. 1050/- (Rs 500/- for reserved categories, who should also send a copy of the relevant document form competent authority) favoring National Institute of Design, and a self- addressed envelope of 8”x12” size with Rs 25/- stamps affixed. Mark your envelope ‘Admissions 2008’. Forms downloaded form NID’s website, along with required amount of DD drawn in favour of National Institute of Design, Payable at Ahmedabad will also be accepted.
Prescribed percentage of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to various reserved categories as per the Government of India norms in force at the time of admissions.
Design Aptitude tests (DAT) for eligible candidates for the Post-Graduate Diploma Programme will be held at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kanpur Kochi, Kolkata & Mumbai.
Application forms and prospectus can also be obtained form select branches of Bank of India on payment of Rs. 30/- as bank charges form October 9 to November 23, 2007. (Forms at concessional rates to reserved categories are available only form NID, Ahmedabad Directly).
