ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.FTech.) in 

·    Fashion Design 
·    Leather Design 
·    Textile Design 
·    Knitwear Design 
·    Accessory Design
·    Communication Design

• 10+2 from a recognised Board of Education 
• Any Public School/ Board/ University Examination in India or in   foreign countries recognised by the  Association of Indian  Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.
• Pass grade in Sr. Secondary Examination conducted by National Open School with minimum of     five  subjects
• 3 or 4 years Diploma recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education

Bachelor of Fashion Technology  (B.FTech.) in Apparel Production

As above (with Physics, Chemistry & Maths as core subjects at 10+2 level)  

Master of Fashion Technology (M.FTech. ) in Management

Graduate or equivalent in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities   OR   Diploma in Accessory / Fashion Design / FIT from NIFT only.

Master of Fashion Technology (M.FTech.) in Apparel Production 

B.E. / B. Tech (Textiles / Apparel / Mechanical / Industrial / Production/ Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology)

RESERVATION   The seats reserved for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped candidates exist as per Govt. of India requirements.  In addition, the Govt. of India has proposed to reserve seats for candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC) the details of the intake would be announced through an advertisement in National Dailies Newspapers by NIFT on receipt of an official communication from appropriate authorities. 15% of seats are reserved on super numerary basis for NRI/ Foreign Nationals/SAARC in each discipline.

AVAILABILITY OF PROSPECTUS & APPLICATION FORM

1. Students appearing for their qualifying examination can also apply.  Their admission, however will be provisional and subject to obtaining the defined eligibility by 30/7/2007 . 2. NIFT reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination Centres. Written examination of foreign students will be held at Indian Embassy / Mission of the respective country 3.The Prospectus can be obtained by hand from all the UTI BANK branches across the country on payment of Rs. 1200/-(Rs.600/- in case of SC/ST/PHP).  4. Candidates belonging to SC / ST / PHP are required to submit a certified copy of caste certificate for taking the application form from UTI Bank.  5.The Prospectus can also be obtained by post on payment of Rs.1400/- (Rs. 800/- in case of SC/ST/PHP) /-(Rs.600/- for SC/ST/PHP). by way of demand draft in favour of NIFT Payable at New Delhi from the following NIFT Campuses.
