Integrated post graduation programmes (entrance test to be taken-GPTU)

Integrated dual degree programme (B.Tech+M.Tech/MBA): Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics securing minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) is eligible to apply for the programme, candidates appearing in the 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics can also apply

Duration/seats: 5 years (10 semester); 60 in each course (total 300)

Integrated dual degree programme (B.Tech+M.Tech/MBA): Bio Technology

Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology securing minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) is eligible to apply for the programme, candidates with mathematics can also apply, candidates appearing in the 10+2 can also apply

Integrated dual degree programme (BBM + MBA): BBM+MBA

Eligibility: B.E./B.Tech in civil engineering, with minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade

M.Tech (Biotech) for science graduates (specialization in Bio-informatics/food technology/genetic engineering)

Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline of life sciences, from any university/college established by law, with minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade

M.Tech (Biotech) for B.Tech/M.Sc candidates (specialization in Bio-informatics/food technology/genetic engineering)

M.Tech (ICT) for engineering graduates (specialization in software engineering/VLSI design/wireless communication and networks)

Eligibility: B.E./B.Tech degree in computer science/computer technology/information technology/electronics and communication or M.Sc (electronics/computer science/computer technology) from any recognized university/college with minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST)

M.Tech (ICT) for science graduates (specialization in software engineering/VLSI design/wireless communication and networks)

Eligibility: Graduation in science with mathematics or BCA from any recognized college/university with minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade

Duration/seats: 3 years (6 semesters); 60

M.Tech in Environmental science and engineering for science graduates

Eligibility: Graduation with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from any recognized college/university with minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade

Duration/seats: 3 years (6 semesters); 20

MBA (specialization in Human Resource management/finance/marketing management/strategic management/operations management)

Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline from a university/college established by law, securing minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST)

Duration/seats: 2 years (4 semesters); 120

How to apply: Application form can be obtained from the counter at the university by paying in cash/demand draft drawn in favour of the chairman, admissions payable at Gautam Budh Nagar of Rs 200/- for general/OBC candidates and Rs 100/- for SC/ST candidates

Outstation candidates may obtain the application form by post after paying additional Rs 50/-

Last date of submission of filled-in application form: 15th March, 2011

Reservation: the university shall be open to all citizens of India, irrespective of caste, creed or sex; reservation and provision for financial assistance to SC/ST/BPL students as per UP govt rules

5 years Integrated dual degree programme (B.Tech+M.Tech/MBA) GPTU-2011: 15th May, 2011, 9.00 a.m.-11.00 a.m.

5 years Integrated MBA (BBM+MBA) GPTU-2011: 15th May, 2011, 3.00 p.m.-5.00 p.m.

MBA, MSW GPT-2011: 29th May, 2011, 09.00 a.m.-11.00 a.m.

M.Tech (Biotechnology, Engineering, ICT), M.A. (Development Studies) GPT-2011: 29th May, 2011, 3.00 p.m.-5.00 p.m.

Centres for entrance test: The GPT-2011 and GPTU-2011 will be held at following centres

Candidates are advised to give three choices of test centres. The centre may be cancelled if the required number of students fails to opt for a particular centre in a specific test. Request of any change in the choice for test centre shall not be entertained under any circumstance

Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida /Gr Noida), Delhi, Lucknow, Kota, Guwahati

Admit card: Admit card will be sent by post to the each candidate by 20th April, 2011 and list of the candidates along with name of the test centre will be displayed on GBU website. If a candidate fails to receive the admit card by stipulated date, he/she may contact examination section latest by 30th April, 2011 on Tele or by e-mail. Contact Tele is 0120-2344234 and e-mail address is admissions@gbu.ac.in.

Any plea that a candidate failed to receive the information for appearing in GPT
2011/GPTU-2011 will not be accepted as a ground for the refund of fee or other redressal. Gautam Buddha University may withdraw the permission to appear in GPT-2011/GPTU-2011 granted by mistake/false information to a candidate who is not eligible to appear in mentioned examination even though an admit card is issued and produced by the candidate before the concerned centre superintendent at the examination centre

Since successful candidates are required to produce the admit card at the time of admission, it should be carefully preserved until the admission process is completed

Issuance of admit card doesn’t ensure the eligibility of the programme
