Mumbai University Institute of Distance & Open Learning Application Process

The steps for application process in Mumbai University’s Institute of Distance & Open Learning (IDOL) for the 2014-15 academic session have been announced.

The process begins with the candidates registering themselves using the official IDOL website: www.idol.mahaonline.gov.in. After successfully completing their registration, the candidates need to log-in into the site using their email ID and password (assigned at the time of the registration).

Following this, they need to click on the “Admission” option and then on the “New Application” button. Once done, they will be asked to select the year and their preferred program. After reading the instructions provided and then checking the “Accept” option against the eligibility criteria, the candidates will be asked to click on the “Continue” button to proceed further. This will be followed by a number of important questions that the candidates need to answer carefully.

Now will come the turn of filling up the application form and then check on the “I Accept” button to continue.

Here comes the most crucial part of the application process wherein the candidates will be required to upload their scanned photo and signature. Both the files must be in .JPG format and they should not exceed 100 KB in size.

Candidates must make sure that scanned copy of their signature are visible on the application form.

For eligibility, prior approval is required for the issue of eligibility certificate. After being granted the approval, the candidates will received an Email/SMS notification. The applicants then move to the payment phase where they will be required to pay the application fee through an online payment gateways or Bank of Maharashtra (offline mode).

In either case, the applicant will be allowed to proceed for the payment directly. Candidates are not required to submit hard copy of their application forms.
