Kannur University Distance Education Admission 2019 – Applications are invited for admission to the following Courses/Programs offered by the School of Distance Education of Kannur University for the academic year 2019-20.
(All Programs/Courses offered are approved by UGC, Distance Education Bureau)

I. Graduate Programs
B.A. (English; History; Economics; Malayalam; Political Science; Sociology)
- Eligibility: Pass in Pre-Degree / Plus Two (10+2) or Examination Equivalent thereto
- Admission Fee: Rs.2030/- (each subjects)
B.A. Mathematics
- Eligibility: Pass in Pre-Degree/Plus Two or Examination Equivalent thereto with Mathematics as one of the subjects
- Admission Fee: Rs.2030/-
B.A. (Afzal-Ul-Ulama):
- Eligibility: Pass in Afzal-Ul-Ulama Preliminary / +2 / Pre-Degree Examination
- Admission Fee: Rs.2030/-
B.Com. (Co-operation)/B.B.A.
- Eligibility: Pass in Pre-Degree /Plus 2 or Examination Equivalent thereto with a minimum of 45% marks for Non-Commerce students and pass for Commerce students

- Eligibility: A pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the state or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto with Mathematics or Computer Science or Computer Application or Informatics Practices as one of the optional subjects

- Eligibility: Pass in B.A History with CGPA 1.5 or CGPA 2.00 (2008 Admission) in Part III

III. Certificate Courses
Afzal-Ul-Ulama (Preliminary)
- Duration: 2 years
- Eligibility: Eligibility / Equivalency Certificate issued by Kannur University shall be submitted along with the application in the case of courses other than S.S.L.C of Kerala /SSE of CBSE and ICSE
- Admission Fee: Rs.1400/-
Additional Optional (Co-operation)
- Duration: 1 year
- Eligibility: Pass in B.Com. Degree Examination from Kannur University
- Admission Fee: Rs.1450/-
Kannur University Distance Education Admission 2019 Application Process
- Application must be submitted online through the website www.sde.kannuruniversity.ac.in (link – Register as a Student) after remitting the admission fee
- The printout of the online application (photo duly attested), Chalan (original), Transfer Certificate (original) and one passport size photograph (same Photo which is uploaded in the application) along with the following documents shall be reached the office of the Director, School of Distance Education, Kannur University, Thavakkara, Civil Station PO-670002
Payment of Fees
- By Challan in Treasury [Head of Account 8658-00-102-96(27) KUS] or In SBT [Head of Account 109-010]
- DD in favour or Finance Officer, payable at Kannur University (Thavakkara) Campus Branch of SBT (only for applicants outside Kerala)
Additional PG Degree
- Candidates who have been awarded M.Sc./MA Degree of Kannur University or other University which recognized is as equivalent to the Degree of Kannur University shall be permitted to appear another MA previous and final year Exams subject to undergoing a further Course of study for a period of not less than two academic years through the SDE

Relaxation of Marks:
- SC/ST/OEC and OBC candidates are eligible to get relaxation of 10% and 5% marks respectively in the minimum marks prescribed for admission under non-grading pattern subject to minimum for pass
