Eligibility for Anna University Distance Education MBA MCA and MSc

Here’s a closer look at the eligibility criterion for postgraduate distance learning programs, including MBA, MSc and MCA, offered by the Anna University.

Anna University – one of India’s largest and premium higher education institutions for distance learning programs, has announced the admission procedures for three of its most popular programs – MBA, MCA and M.Sc.

While the minimum educational qualification in all cases is graduation from a recognized college or university, the details pertaining to individual courses may vary depending on the area of specialization chosen by the candidate.

For MBA, the candidate must be a Bachelor Degree holder from recognized university in addition to qualifying in the Distance Education Entrance Test (DEET) held by the CDE, Anna University. Please note that that the Bachelor of Degree will only be accepted if it was pursued after clearing the 10+2 or an equivalent exam.

For admission into MCA, the candidate must be graduate with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the primary subjects at the degree level and Mathematics at the +2 level. In addition, the candidate must also qualify the DEET.

Meanwhile, any graduate who studied mathematics or statistics as one of the primary subjects at degree level, and mathematics at +2 level, can apply for admission into the M.Sc program. They won’t require appearing in DEET or any other entrance test.

Only those who can furnish all necessary documents, including either Provisional or Degree
Certificate, as well as the marksheets of all the semesters at the time of the admission, will be eligible to apply. Those who obtain their undergraduate degree via the “Off Campus” route are not eligible.

Also, those who have already enrolled themselves for another program or are still undergoing the program, will be rejected.
