Annamalai University admission process for Distance Education IT courses

Here’s a closer look at the admission process of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY & COMPUTER PROGRAMMES in Annamalai University for the forthcoming academic session.

The admission process of Information and Technology and Computer courses in Annamalai University for the coming academic session has been announced.

Annamalai, which happens to be one of India’s most hot favorite destinations for distance learning, offers more than 500 programs – both undergraduate and postgraduate – across all three primary streams (Science, Arts, Commerce).

For undergraduate programs which include B.Sc. (Computer Science), B.Sc. (Information Technology), B.Sc. (Visual Communication), BCA, PGDCA, PGD in Library Automation & Networking, DCA, the admission process is as follows:

The application form alongside the prospectus can be obtained in person for INR 100/ by cash from the Directorate or any of its Study Centres / Information Centres. Alternatively, candidates can also obtain the application formand prospectus by post – for that they have to send a requisition to The Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Annamalai University, Annamalainagar – 608 002 alongside a Demand Draft of INR 130/ in favor of The Director, D.D.E., Annamalai University. The application form is not transferable.

The application form and prospectus for PG Programs, including, M.B.A. Information Systems, M.C.A., M.Sc. (Information Technology), M.Sc. (Software Engineering), M.Sc. (Computer Science), M.Sc. (Visual Communication), can be obtained in the same way as undergraduate courses – albeit for a higher fee (INR 250/ in person and INR 290/ through post)

Only those andidates who passe the minimum qualifying exam under the pattern of either 11+2+2, 11+1+3 or 10+2+3 years or undergraduate degree under the Open University System, shall be eligible for postgraduate courses. However, candidates with a direct undergraduate degree without +2 qualification as well as candidates who have a PG degree without any UG degree shall not be eligible.

The Academic year of the Directorate of Distance Education kicks start from July 1 to June 30.
