Applications are invited for admission to the following porgramme for the session 2006 – 2007

MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMIN ISTRATION

(Correspondence Course), Three years Programme.

Eligibility :

Category – I: Defence Officer 50 seats

• All commissioned officers with a minimum of 5 years of commissioned service will be eligible to join the course.
• To be eligible for admission to MBA programme a Defence Officer must have passed either a Graduate or Post – graduate degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or must have undergone successfully.

• N.D.A./I.M.A/Any other equivalent courses viz, O.T.S/O.T.A/ Indian Air Force Academy/Naval Academy; and
• At least one of the following seven courses:

Defence Service Staff College course

• Technical Staff Officers Course
• Long Defence Management Course
• Senior Defence Management Course
• Higher Command Course
• Advanced Air Armament Staff Officer Course
• Specialized Advanced Course of various Arms and Services

• They should have a meritorious record of Service.

b) Category – II : Business Employees / Others : 50 seats

Employees belonging to

• Public Limited Companies, Statutory bodies, Co – operative Societies, Industrial and Commercial undertakings run by State Government and Central Government
• Private Sector units other than Public Limited Companies with a capital investment of Rs. 1 Crore.
• Various Government Departments (State or Central), Universities and other autonomous institutions would be eligible to seek admission to the course.

Such candidates must have secured Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of supervisory/managerial/professional experience.

OR

Professional Degree in Engineering/Technology/Medicine/Architecture/Law/Pharmacy

OR

Professional Qualification in Chartered Accountancy Cost and Works Accountancy/Company Secretary ship, etc.

OR

A Master’s degree in any subject.

(The University may consider other degrees to this list of equivalent professional degree/qualification if required) In case of vacant seats in any category, the seats may be shifted form one category to another with the permission of Head of the Department.

The prospectus – cum – application form can be obtained from the Head, Publication Bureau, Punjabi University , Patiala 147 002 on payment of Rs. 300/- in cash at the counter or by Registered Post, through by Bank Draft for Rs. 300/- drawn in favour of the Registrar, Punjabi University, Patiala alongwith self addressed envelope of size 10”x3” affixed with postal stamps Rs. 50/-
