Question :

I have a hope that you can give a guideline regarding my career. I am a master degree holder in Veterinary sciences. Currently i am in a job earning around 188000 pa. I have always been a mediocker student but as far as extra curricular activities are concerned i was excellent in GK and debate activities. Right now i am 29 (25th sep ) and it is my last hope to go for administrative services. I have only once appeared in that exam.I wish to know that wether i should devote myself to it or not. Please give me complete advice. Regards............... Dr. S. K. T

My sincere advice would be you should go for it. Never, give up. Plan your preparation systematically and achieve success. If you need any specific guidance for preparation do write to us, because we are not in position to advice now, unless we know which are the optional subjects you have opted for the exams.

Kindly let me know which course im supposed to take up since im interested in joining the airforce in the future. im a girl doing my 10th standard in st. hilda's school in ooty. I feel this is the right time to get updated abt the course best suited for this career

ANSWER:
Dear Naliniappaji,

My advice will be to take up science group in your plus two, and proceed to do your graduation in aeronautical engineering and appear for respective examinations to enter air force. For girls there are special entries to enter air force. For example you have to look out for the national dailies for the announcement of Women Special Entry Scheme Course( officers)

I am an NRI student studing in the gulf -Qatar,we really don't have much guidance out here.I would be gratefull to have some information,I love physics ,chemistry and Mathematics ,I love computers also and am really confused as to what lines to take and what would be a good line for me,also being a NRI what are my chances to sit Exams like comed-k, JEE? Do you know of good correspondence courses or any training courses for these exams? I would be gratefull if you could help me sort out these details. Thanking you and hoping to hear from you soon

As you are interested in physics, chemistry and Mathematics and computers also you can think of doing your engineering graduation in computer science or Information technology. For admission to engineering graduation you should appear for exams like IIT JEE, AIEEE, COMED–K and other Engineering entrance examination conducted by association of self financing college of the respective states. I am a B.C.A. final student. I want to do MCA after BCA. But i have heard that after BCA i can do good service in good companies. I want to ask you whether BCA is sufficient education in IT Field today or i should take more degree in this field. ....Neha

ANSWER: Dear Neha,

With your BCA graduation you can definitely get a technical job in companies like Wipro, HCL, subject to if you have good communication skill in English and aptitude.

For an example Wipro offers WASE programme which gives excellent opportunities for students like you, who wants a job and also wants to pursue their higher studies. In the WASE programme it offers 8 semesters MS in Software Engineering programme in colloboratoin with Bits – Pilani. During their MS programme with Bits – Pilani, the WASE students are placed in the various Business Domains. Here they can participate in the live projects as the regular employees do. So in case, you don't get placed in top IT companies with your Under Graduation it's better to do MCA in top institutions.
