|
ANSWER:
The Human Resources Management (HRM) function includes a variety of activities, and key among them is deciding what staffing needs you have and whether to use independent contractors or hire employees to fill these needs, recruiting and training the best employees, ensuring they are high performers, dealing with performance issues, and ensuring your personnel and management practices conform to various regulations. Activities also include managing your approach to employee benefits and compensation, employee records and personnel policies.
Human resource management is also responsible for how people are treated in organizations. It is responsible for bringing people into the organization, helping them perform their work, compensating them for their labors, and solving problems that arise". There are seven management functions of a human resources (HR) department that will be specifically addressed: staffing, performance appraisals, compensation and benefits, training and development, employee and labor relations, safety and health, and human resource research.
There are many leading institutes like Symbiosis Institute of Business Management – Pune. Management Development Institute (MDI) – Gurgaon. Indira Gandhi Open University, Pondicherry University, Annamalai University are some of the leading institutions that offers professional programmes in Human Resource Management through correspondence course.

I want to know that can i get admission in any good B-school by securing a good result in entrance examinations. IILM-GSM and IMD Delhi. But due to the fear i m not going for GD PI. Please help me out. S.K.
|
ANSWER:
Dear SK,
The admission for MBA is always based on performance in Entrance examinations followed by group discussion and interview. But some of the leading institutes do consider your academic performances also while considering admission to their colleges. This is done because they generally want student who can cope of academic stress too. But if you really perform in your Entrance and Group discussion and prove your skills, some of the institutes will definitely consider your admission.
We will always advice the student that not only academic performance counts but you should improve your soft skills during your graduation. So my sincere advice is to go ahead and apply to institutions and exhibit your skills of excellence through group discussion and interview. Wish you all the very best.

ANSWER: Dear Tanvi,
In fact you want to do 3 careers simultaneously. I don't think you are in the right path. You should first decide in which career you want to develop first?, Either in human genetic or administration or medicine. In case you want to have a career in human genetics I would advice you to do Undergraduate programme in Bio Technology or Micro biology and then proceed to do your Post Graduation in human genetics.
