Eligibility Criteria for PNB Specialist Officer Jobs 2015

Nationality/Citizenship: A candidate must be either i) a Citizen of India or ii) a subject of Nepal or iii) subject of Bhutan or iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st Jan 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt of India

A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary, may be admitted to the exam/interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection, the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate issued to him by the Govt of India is submitted to the bank

Age, Educational Qualifications & Post Qualification Work Experience required:

Age as on 01st January 2015

Educational Qualifications as on opening date of online registration (31st March 2015) (AICTE/Govt Regulatory Body approved/from the university recognized by the Govt of India)

Post Qualification work experience and other stipulations as on opening date of online registration (31st March 2015)

1. Company Secretary: Bachelors degree in any discipline with membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. Minimum post qualification experience of two years as Company Secretary, in a company listed in any of the stock exchange of India

Age: Minimum 21 years, Maximum 35 years

2. Manager (Security): Bachelor's degree from any University recognized by Govt. of India. An Officer with 5 years Commissioned Service in Indian Army/Navy/Air Force (OR) Officers of identical work in Para-military forces with 5 years experience

Age: Minimum 21 years, Maximum 35 years

3. Officer (Data Analyst): Bachelor's degree with Honours in Statistics/Mathematics from the university recognized by Govt. of India & FRM certification from Global Association of Risk Professionals/PRM Certification from Professional Risk Manager's International Association (OR) Bachelor's degree from the university recognized by Govt of India & PG Programme (02 years) in Banking & Finance from NIBM (OR) Masters Degree in Statistics/Mathematics from the university recognized by Govt. of India

Experience: Preferably 02 years working knowledge of econometric techniques

Age: Minimum 21 years, Maximum 28 years

4. Officer (Industry-Mechanical): B.E/B.Tech degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering from any University /Institute recognized by Govt. of India with a minimum of 60% Marks (55% Marks for SC/ST) for in aggregate at Sr. Secondary & Degree Level

For SC/ST Category Candidates: B.E./B.Tech degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering from any University /Institute recognized by Govt. of India with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate at Sr. Secondary & Degree Level

Age: Minimum 21 years, Maximum 30 years

5. Officer (Industry-Textile): B.E./B.Tech degree in the field of Textile Engineering from any University/Institute recognized by Govt. of India with a minimum of 60% marks (55% Marks for SC/ST) in aggregate at Sr. Secondary & Degree Level

For SC/ST Category Candidates: B.E./B.Tech degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering from any University /Institute recognized by Govt. of India with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate at Sr. Secondary & Degree Level

Age: Minimum 21 years, Maximum 30 years

6. Fire Officer: Bachelors degree from a University recognized by Govt. of India (AND) Sub-Officer Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and possessing knowledge of Mandatory requirements of providing fire protection and prevention in high rise business buildings as per National Building Code and Bureau of Indian Standards. Experience
Minimum 03 years experience

Age: Minimum 25 years, Maximum 40 years

7. Officer (Printing Technologist): B.E/B.Tech degree in Printing Technology, with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate, from any University/ Institute recognized by the Govt. of India/ Govt. Regulatory bodies (OR) Diploma (03 years) in Printing Technology with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate and a Bachelor's degree, from any University/ Institute recognized by the Govt. of India/ Govt. Regulatory bodies

Age: Minimum 21 years, Maximum 30 years

Experience wherever required is post qualification, full time and in the relevant field (experience below 06 months in any organization will not be considered)

The experience as a permanent employee will only be considered

The level of educational qualifications prescribed for the posts is minimum

Candidates must possess above qualifications/ work experience as on opening date of registration i.e. 31st March 2015 and must produce Marks Sheet & Provisional Certificate/ Degree Certificate issued from the University if called for interview

The result of the qualification prescribed must have been declared on or before 31st March 2015

Candidates must specifically indicate the class/division and percentage of marks obtained (calculated to the nearest two decimals) in the relevant column of the application

Where no percentage of marks is awarded by the university, but only CGPA/OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage in terms of conversion norms of university in this regard, besides indicating the CGPA/OGPA in the application

Candidates will have to produce document evidencing conversion formula of university when called for interview

Upper Age Relaxation

SC/ST 5 years; OBC 3 years; All persons who are ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of J&K State during 31st January 1989 to 31st December 1989-5 years; Ex-Servicemen

For selection through written test and interview: Ex-service Commissioned Officers, including ECOs/ SSCOs, who have rendered at least 05 years military service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year from the last date for receipt of applications) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or on account of physical disability attributable to military service or on invalidment-5 years

For selection through interview: 3 years plus period of service in armed forces, subject to his not exceeding the age of 40 years; Children/family members of those who died in the 1984 riots-3 years

Selection Procedure

Selection will be through written test (which may be conducted on-line/off-line) and/or interview. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms do not entitle a candidate to be called for test or Interview

Reasoning - 50 questions; 50 marks; English Language - 50 questions; 25 marks; Quantitative Aptitude - 50 questions; 50 marks; Professional Knowledge (Relevant to the Post) - 50 questions; 75 marks

Total Time: 120 minutes; No. of Questions - 200 and Maximum Marks – 200

The written test (except Officer (IT), Officer (HRD), Hindi Officers) shall contain Professional Knowledge, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability

Selection for Officer (IT), Officer (HRD) will be through CWE conducted by IBPS and/or interview

Selection for Hindi Officers will be through CWE conducted by IBPS and/or interview and group discussion

The online test is proposed to be held on 29th May 2015

Test Centre

The tests will tentatively be held at Ahmadabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Bhopal, Chennai, Chandigarh, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jammu, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna centers
However, the mode of test/centre/venue for the examination will be intimated through call letter

Application Fee (intimation charges, non-refundable): SC/ST/PC category candidates Rs.50/- per candidate (only intimation charges); General/OBC/EX-SM category candidates Rs.400/- per candidate
Officer (IT), Officer (HRD), Hindi Officers; SC/ST/PC category candidates Rs.20/- per candidate (only intimation charges); General/OBC/EX-SM category candidates Rs.100/- per candidate

Bond

Candidates are advised to note that if selected, they will be required to execute a bond with surety for serving the Bank for a specified period

In case he/she resigns from or leaves/abandons the service and /or neglects in performance of the duty assigned to him/ her leading to termination of his/her service as per rules/ regulations by the Bank before specified period, he/she will indemnify the bank upto the extent of bond amount, for all losses, costs, charges and expenses

Selected officers shall execute the indemnity bond before joining the Bank

i. Specialist Officer in MMG Scale-III; Amount Rs 3.00 lacs; Period 03 years
ii. Specialist Officer in MMG Scale-II; Amount Rs 2.00 lacs; Period 03 years
iii. Specialist Officer in JMG Scale-I; Amount Rs 1.00 lac; Period 03 years

How to Apply for PNB Specialist Officer Recruitment 2015 ?

The candidates can apply only for one post. Candidates can apply online only from 31st March 2015 to 16th April 2015 and no other mode of application will be accepted

The application fee must be paid in cash, separately for each post at any branch of Punjab National Bank

Pre-Requisites for Applying Online

Before depositing the fee, the candidate must ensure that he/she meets the eligibility criteria of the posts for which he is applying and then download a copy of the cash voucher from website www.pnbindia.in

i. Scan their photograph and signature ensuring that both the photograph and signature adhere to the required specifications as per para 9.3 of this Advertisement

ii) Keep the necessary details/documents for Online Payment of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges ready

iii) Have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the completion of this Recruitment Process. Bank may send call letters for the Examination etc. through the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances, a candidate should share with/mention e-mail ID to / of any other person

In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying on-line and must maintain that email account

Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/ intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidate

Mode of FEE Payment

Candidates have to make the payment of requisite fees/ intimation charges through online mode only:

i) Candidates should carefully fill in the details in the On-Line Application at the appropriate places very carefully and click on the “final submit” button at the end of the On-Line Application format; before pressing the final submit button, candidates are advised to verify every field filled in the application

The name of the candidate or his /her father/husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the certificates/mark sheets. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature
In case the candidate is unable to fill in the application form in one go, he/ she can save the data already entered

ii) The application form is integrated with the payment gateway and the payment process can be completed by following the instructions

iii) The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets by providing information as asked on the screen.

iv) After Final Submit, an additional page of the application form is displayed wherein candidates may follow the instructions and fill in the requisite details

Call Letters for Online Test

The date of the online test is tentatively fixed as 29th May 2015; however, it will be intimated in the Call Letter along with the Centre/Venue for the Examination, well in advance of the date of the Online Examination
In case of any difficulty in downloading the call letter, the candidate should contact the Help Desk as mentioned in FAQs with regard to downloading the call letter
