Puduvai Bharathiar Grama Bank has been established as per RRB Act 1976 with 50% shareholding by govt of India, 35% by Indian Bank and 15% by govt of UT of Puducherr

Eligibility criteria (Assistant Managers)
Age limit (as on 31st December, 2010): Above 18 years but below 28 years (relaxation of age in case of SC/ST candidates or candidates belonging to other reserved categories is allowed as per govt guidelines issued by central govt from time to time in this regard)
Presently the following relaxations are allowed
SC/ST candidates 5 years; OBC candidates 3 years; PwD 10 years; Children/family members of those who died in the 1984 riots 5 years; Ex-Serviceman 5 years
Qualification (as on 31st December, 2010): Bachelor degree of a recognized University in any discipline or its equivalent. Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisiculture, Agriculture Marketing Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy
Proficiency in Tamil language
Computer knowledge will be an additional qualification
Office Assistant Multipurpose (Clerical Cadre)
Age limit (as on 31st December, 2010): Between 18 years and 28 years (relaxation of age in case of the SC/ST candidates or candidates belonging to other special categories is allowed in accordance with the instructions/orders issued by the central govt in this regard from time to time). Presently the following relaxation are allowed
SC/ST candidates 5 years; OBC candidates 3 years; PwD 10 years; Ex-Servicemen 3 years; widows, divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried 9 years
Qualification (as on 31st December, 2010): Bachelor degree or its equivalent of a recognized University in any discipline
Proficiency in Tamil language
Knowledge of Computer skills
Nationality (as on 31st December, 2010): A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar (formerly Burma), Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika), Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
Nativity by Birth: The applicant should have been born in the Union Territory of Puducherry and should have been ordinarily residing within the Union Territory prior to the date of appointment; or
Nativity by continuous residence: The applicant should have been residing continuously for 5 years in the Union Territory prior to the date of appointment
Application fee including postal charges (non-refundable): For SC/ST/PwD/EX-Serviceman candidates Rs 50/- for each post (towards postal charges only); for all others including OBC Rs 350/- for each post (including postal charges of Rs 50/-)
Payment of fees will be made either at all the branches of Puduvai Bharathiar Grama Bank (by using separate challan by downloading the same from our website); or by NEFT/RTGS from any other Bank to the account of Puduvai Bharathiar Grama Bank with Indian Bank, Puducherry main branch bearing Account No-935196896 (IFSC Code IDIB000P042); or if payment is made by NEFT/RTGS, candidates have to collect the UTR Number and name of the bank and branch for filling the same in appropriate columns of the application
Selection procedure: The selection will be made on the basis of performance in the written test and interview. All the eligible candidates who apply with the requisite fee in time and who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be called for a written test comprising both objective and descriptive tests
The written test will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection on the following; Test of Reasoning, English; Numerical Ability, English; English Language, English; General Knowledge, English
Negative marks will be awarded for wrong answer in objective test
The candidates securing a minimum 40% marks in the written test shall qualify for interview. In the case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories, the minimum marks in the written test shall be 35% to qualify for interview
Preparation of merit list: The selection shall be made on the basis of written test and interview as under; written test 70 marks; interview 30 marks; total 100 marks
All those candidates who have secured minimum qualifying marks stipulated for written examination in the order of merit shall be called for interview up to the ratio of 1:3
The merit lists of successful candidates in each category shall be made separately on the basis of combined performance in the written test and interview
Lists of successful candidates for appointment to officer cadre (scale I) shall be prepared on the basis of ranking accorded to them in the combined performance of written test and interview for general, SC/ST and other special categories separately
Test centres: Puducherry, Karaikal
Request for change of centre of examination will not be entertained
The Bank reserves the right to cancel any of the centres and/or add some other centres, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc. The Bank also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any of the centres other than the one he/she has opted for
Pre-Examination Training (SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/Minority communities candidates): It is proposed to impart free pre-examination training to a limited number of candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex-serviceman/religious minority community candidates at Puducherry. The bank has the discretion to conduct pre-examination training at any other centre/ centres depending on need/ circumstances. An eligible candidate who wishes to avail of pre-examination training should fill in the relevant column in the application format. All expenses regarding traveling, boarding, lodging etc has to be borne by the candidate for attending the pre-examination training programme at the training centre
Pay scale: Asst Manager; Rs 14500-600/7-18700-700/2-20100-800/7-25700/-
Office Assistant Multipurpose; Rs 7200-400/3-8400-500/3-9900-600/4-12300-700/7-17200-1300/1-18500-800-19300/-
Dearness allowance (DA), CCA, HRA and other admissible allowances will be payable, as per the rules of the Bank, depending upon the place of posting. In addition, conveyance, Medical Aid, LTC/ LFC and retirement benefits are admissible, as per the rules of the Bank
Total emoluments (Basic+DA+HRA) for Asst Manager will be Rs 22,500/- per month and for Office Assistant Multipurpose Rs 11500/- per months approximately as per the prevailing rates
Probation: Asst Manager 2 to 3 years; Office Assistant Multipurpose 1 year to 18 months
How to apply: Candidates have to register online through Bank’s website www.puduvaibharathiargramabank.in only between 22nd February, 2011 and 15th March, 2011. No other means of applications shall be entertained
Procedure for payment of application fee/postal charges: The application fee/postal charges can be paid by; directly crediting the amount in any Puduvai Bharathiar Grama Bank Branch; or paying the amount through NEFT in any other Bank
The procedure for payment of fee is mentioned below; directly crediting the amount in the account at any of the Branches of Puduvai Bharathiar Grama Bank
Take print-out of the payment challan from website (format is given at end of the advertisement)
Fill the particulars viz Name, Puduvai Bharathiar Grama Bank Branch Name, city, amount, post applied for in legible handwriting in block letters
Submit the fee payment challan and amount in any Puduvai Bharathiar Grama Bank branch
Collect the candidate's copy of fee payment challan from the branch. Please check that challan is properly signed and the details of journal number, branch name, branch code number, deposit date are noted in the challan by the branch authorities
Log onto the bank website for applying online
Paying the amount of fee through NEFT in any other Bank (if the candidate opts for payment through other Bank)
Fill the NEFT voucher/challan of that Bank with Beneficiary details as follows

Make payment, collect NEFT payment receipt from the bank where you have made the payment. Please check that receipt is properly signed and the details of NEFT UTR number, IFSC code of the sending bank branch, city name, deposit date, amount etc are noted in the challan by the branch authorities
Log on to bank website for applying online
Even if the last date of registration changes due to technical reasons, the valid dates for payment of application fee/postal charges will not be changed. Payment of fee by demand draft/cheque/money orders/postal orders etc will not be accepted
Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail id. In case, candidate is not having valid e-mail id, he/she should create a new e-mail id. This e-mail id should be valid for the duration of the project
Candidates are first required to go to the Bank’s website www.puduvaibharathiargramabank.in and take a print of the fees payment challan. Fill in the fee payment challan in a clear and legible handwriting in block letters. Go to any of the Bank’s branch with the fee payment challan and pay, in cash, the appropriate application fee in the designated account as given in the fee payment challan; or candidates should have remitted the requisite fee in any other bank through NEFT and should have details of payment made
Please note that without valid payment details, on-line registration of application will be summarily rejected
Candidates are required to visit the Bank’s website www.puduvaibharathiargramabank.in and apply for the post

After filling in all the required particulars, candidates shall submit the application on-line
There is provision to modify the submitted on-line application. Candidates are requested to make use of this facility to correct the details in on-line application, if any. This modification facility shall be available after 2 days of registration and up to the last date for on-line registration. Modification will be allowed only 3 times. After the last date, no modification will be permitted
Candidates should take utmost care to furnish the correct details while filling in on-line application
After applying on-line, the candidate should take a print out of the system generated on-line application form and retain it along with registration number and password safely for future reference. They should not send this print out to the bank. The print out of the on-line application will have invariably to be submitted at the time of Interview
Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply on-line much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date for depositing the fees to avoid the possibility of disconnection/ inability/failure to log on the Bank’s website on account of heavy load on internet/website jam
The Bank does not assume any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date on account of the aforesaid reasons or for any other reason beyond the control of the Bank
Please note that the above procedure is the only valid procedure for applying. No other mode of application or incomplete steps would be accepted and such applications would be rejected
Call letters for the written examination: Call letter for written examination will be sent to the eligible candidates at the address for correspondence given in their application form by ordinary post and requests for sending letters to a different address subsequently will not be accepted
All eligible candidates will be issued call letters at the correspondence address given by the candidates in their application form, which will be sent by ordinary post. Eligible candidates who do not receive the call letter by 02nd May, 2011 for Asst Manager post and 09th May, 2011 for Office Assistant Multipurpose should contact the head office of the Bank with details of his/her name, name, address, date of birth, details of payment like journal/UTR No and examination centre opted alongwith a photograph for obtaining duplicate call letters. Duplicate call letters will be issued between 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. as per the following schedule
