Eligibility Criteria Nationality / Citizenship
A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st Jan. 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/interview conducted by the IBPS/Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Govt. of India.

Educational qualifications:
Note:The candidates must possess the requisite educational qualification as on 30/08/2006.
Computer Literacy :- Knowledge in computers is essential.
Qualification:i) General / OBC category candidates:
- Minimum First division in Graduation in any discipline with 60% or more marks
ii) SC / ST candidates
- Minimum Second division in graduation in any discipline with 50% or more marks
iii) Persons with Disabilities
- Minimum Second division in graduation in any discipline with 55% or more marks
HOW TO APPLY
- (i) Application should be neatly typed or hand written in English on a foolscap size paper in the format given at the end of this advertisement. (ii) A recent passport size photograph bearing full signature of the candidate across the same with date should be pasted at right hand top corner at the space provided in the application. (iii) It should also be accompanied by Demand Draft / Banker’s cheque(candidate’s name and date of birth should be written on the reverse of Demand Draft Draft/Banker’s Cheque) and attested copies of all certificates regarding age, educational qualifications, Caste(in the case of SC/ST/OBC) and medical certificate(in the case of Persons With Disabilities. (iv) Copies of Experience Certificate(s) specifying NATURE & PERIOD of experience should be enclosed. (v) Selected candidates will be required to produce a valid discharge certificate from their present employer before joining the service.

For the candidates staying abroad and for those posting application from Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Minicoy Islands, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladak Division of J & K State, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, the last date for receipt of application will be 07.09.2006.An application received after the last date will not be entertained by Bank.
