ADMISSION NOTICE 2007 – 2008 SESSION
Entrance Test for Admission to Ayurveda Vachaspati (MD/MS (Ay.)

Applications on the prescribed Forms are invited up to 05 – 07 – 2007 ( 5 PM ) for an Entrance Test for Admission to the three year PG Course of Ayurveda Vachaspati (MD/MS (Ayurveda) in the following Subjects in this Institute:
- Dravya Guna Vigyan
- Kaya Chikitsa
- Kaumar Bharitya
- Pancha Karma
- Rasa Shastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana
- Roga and Vikriti Vigyan
- Samhita
- Shalya Tantra
- Sharira Kriya
- Sharira Rachana
- Swastha Vritta
The Entrance Test will be conducted on Sunday, 05 – 08 – 2007 at Jaipur.
The maximum available seats are 55. 1 Seats in each Subject (i.e. 11 Seats) is reserved for nominees of Central Government. 3 seats are reserved for candidates of BIMSTEC countries, which include 1 seat for Sri Lankan Candidate. For these 14 Seats, there will be no Entrance Test. Thus, the Entrance Test will be conducted for a maximum of 41 seats.
All candidates, including various nominees, except the candidates applying from BIMSTEC countries, and nominated by the respective countries and approved by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, have to apply in the prescribed Form.
Qualification for Admission:
- Ayurvedachary a Degree (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) of University of Rajasthan OR any equivalent examination recognised by the Rajasthan Ayurveda University , Jodhpur / University of Rajasthan , Jaipur.
- Must have completed the Six of Twelve months rotating a Internship/House Job, as the case may be, after passing the qualifying examination, as stipulated by C.C.I.M. by 04 – 08 – 2007
The Application Form and Prospectus with details can be obtained from 28 – 05- 2007 onwards and the following are the schedules of dates for obtaining the Prospectus and Application Form and submitting the same in the institute.
By Hand: From the Office of the Institute by depositing Rs. 1000(Rs. 700 for SC/ST candidates) in Cash up to 4 PM on 05 – 07- 2007.
By Post : By sending a Demand Draft for Rs. 1050 (Rs. 750 for SC/ST candidates payable in favour of “Director, National Institute or Ayurveda, Jaipur” upto 20 – 06 – 2007. Demand Drafts only will be accepted for sending the Form by Post. No request for issue of Application Form by Post will be entertained after 20 – 6 -2007.
E – version: The Application Form can also be downloaded from our Website www.nia.nic.inand can be submitted duly filled along with attested copies of all relevant certificates etc, with a DD for Rs. 1000 (Rs. 700 for SC/ST).
Last Date for Receipt of Filled Form: The last date for receipt of the Application Form in the Institute is 05 – 07- 2007 upto 5 PM . Any Form received after this date will not be accepted or entertain on any circumstance. Application will also not be accepted by FAX or e – mail. Applicants are advised to obtain and send the Form well in advanced to avoid any postal delay. The institute will not be responsible for any postal delay.
No T.A. or D.A. will be paid to the candidates for appearing in the Entrance Test. The candidates admitted for the Course will get a stipend of Rs. 7000 per months in First Year, Rs. 7500 in the Second Year and Rs. 8000 in the Third Year, plus DA, during the course of study on satisfactory performance. More details including reservation of seats for various categories of candidates etc, can be seen in the Prospectus for Admission in MD/MS (Ay.)

Eligibility: Candidates should possess the degree of Ayurveda Vachaspati (MD/MS Ayu.) in concerned subject along with the degree of Ayurvedacharya (B.A.M.S.) with 55% marks from the University of Rajasthan , Jaipur or an equivalent examination recognised by the Rajasthan
Ayurveda University , Jodhpur / CCIM.
No. of Fellowship and Reservation: 2 Seats are available in each Specialty. Reservation for SC/ST candidates will be provided as per Central Govt. rules admissible from time to time, provided they fulfill the minimum qualification laid down for the fellowship. In case the reservation quota could not be filled up, the Fellowship(s) will be reverted back to the General Quota. One Seat is reserved for candidates nominated by BIMSTEC countries through ICCR.
Age Limit: The maximum age for a male candidate is 35 years and for a female candidate, 45 years as on 01 – 01 – 2008.
Last Date: Application on the prescribed Form should be submitted latest by 05 – 07- 2007. The prescribed Application Form along with rules and other information can be obtained from the Institute on payment of a Demand Draft for Rs. 550 drawn in favour of “Director, National institute of Ayurveda , Jaipur” by Post or on a Cash payment of rs. 500 at the Institute counter. The Application Form can also be downloaded from the Website www.nia.nic.inand should be submitted duly filled along with attested copies of all relevant certificates etc. with a DD for Rs. 500.
The candidates admitted will get a Stipend of Rs. 8275 per month for the First Year and Rs. 8550 for the subsequent year plus DA as per rules. The research work done during the period of Fellowship can be submitted to the Rajasthan Ayurveda University , Jodhpur for the award of “Ayurveda Vidya Varidhi” (Ph.D. Ayurveda).
The Director reserves the right to accept or reject any Application Form or to cancel any admission without assigning any reason thereof.
