Post Graduate admission notification
Joint-PG entrance test for admission to MD (AYU)/MS (AYU) courses in NIA, Jaipur, IPGTRA, Jamnagar and govt Akhandanand Ayu college, Ahmedabad
Applications in the prescribed format are invited up to 21.05.2010 for the Joint Post-graduate entrance test to be conducted by this institute for admission to the 3 year post-graduate course of MD(Ayu)/MS(Ayu) session 2010-11 in NIA, Jaipur, IPGTR&A, Jamnagar and govt Akhandanand Ayurvedic college, Ahmedabad

The filled forms along with a demand draft (Rs 900/- for SC/ST and Rs 1250/- for all other categories of candidates) drawn in favour of director, National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur should reach this institute by the closing date 21.05.2010
The subjects, reservation and availability of seats are different in these three institutions. The seats will be filled as per the rules and regulations of the respective Institutions. All the details are available on the websites. Candidates are advised to read carefully the prospectus of the respective Institutions before filling the forms.
Admission to Research Fellowships in NIA
Applications in the prescribed format are also invited up to 21-5-2010 for admission to research fellowships in the following 9 branches (2 seats each) in the National Institute of Ayurveda only. Detailed information is also available in the website of NIA. The filled form along with a demand draft of Rs 550/- drawn in favour of director, National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur should reach the Institute by the closing date 21.05.2010

Application received after last date will not be entertained. No TA/DA will be admissible to the candidates for entrance test and counseling.
Qualification for admission
Ayurvedacharya degree (bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) of university of Rajasthan Jaipur or any equivalent examination recognized by the Rajasthan Ayurveda University, Jodhpur and Gujrat Ayurved University, Jamnagar or degree of any other University found equivalent by these Universities.
The Institute will not be responsible for non-inclusion of any qualification in the above said Universities equivalent list. The candidates must have completed the six or twelve months rotating Internship/House Job, as the case may be, after passing the qualifying examination, as stipulated by C.C.I.M., by 16th July 2010.
Candidates already studying in MD/MS (Ay) part-I in the above Institutes may appear in the test, if they desire so, only after depositing back the entire stipend received by them to the respective Institutes. The application form and prospectus with details can be downloaded from the websites of either institutes from 17.04.2010 onwards and the following is the schedule of dates for downloading the prospectus and application form and submitting the same in the host Institute i.e. National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur.
Selection of candidates for admission: Selection of the candidates for admission shall be made by a selection committee constituted by competent authority. Selection of the candidates shall be made strictly on the basis of final merit index calculated out of the total index of 100 marks based on written test and marks obtained in the subject concerned and the marks obtained in the final year examination of the degree course in the following manner; marks obtained in the written test of 80 marks plus the index of marks obtained in the subject concerned (to be calculated out of 10 marks) plus the index of marks obtained in the final year examination of the degree course (to be calculated out of 10 6 marks). The written test of 80 marks shall consist of one common written paper comprising objective type questions set from the standard texts and reference books covering the subjects of Ayurvedacharya (BAMS) course.
Duly filled application form is to be submitted to the Director, National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur along with attested copies of all relevant documents and a demand draft of Rs. 1250/- for General and OBC candidates physically handicapped / Rs 900/- for SC/ST candidates drawn in favor of Director, National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur.
