a) Allocation of Seats:
I. Out of the total number of (16) seats in M.Pharm. (four specialities), 85% of the intake will be allotted to the candidates from Puducherry. UT. The remaining 15% will be allotted to the candidates from Other States/UTs (All India basis).
II. The details of seats allocated/reserved to various categories of candidates are as per the reservation in force (Refer Section 5).
b) Selection procedure:
Qualification for admission:
The candidates applying for admission to M.Pharm course should have passed B.Pharm. With minimum 55% of marks from any recognized College/University approved by the PCI & AICTE.
Puducherry U.T. & Other State Candidates:
Admission shall be based on a valid GPAT (All India Test) percentile/score. In case of a tie in the GPAT score, the aggregate marks of the qualifying examination (3rd semester to 8th semester) will be the criteria for ranking. When GPAT qualified candidates are not available, admission will be given to non-GPAT candidates of respective area (Puducherry & Other State General) on merit. The selection of Non- GPAT candidates will be based on the marks obtained in an Entrance Examination (50%) to be conducted by the MTPG&RIHS and marks obtained in the 3rd to 8th semester of qualifying examination (50%). After adopting the normal process of admission, if any vacant seats are in Puducherry / Other state reservations, they will be filled up by the GPAT General candidates of respective area and then vice versa, failing which by Non- GPAT General candidates of the respective area and then vice versa.
Sponsored candidates:
Sponsored (in-service) candidates from Health Department, Puducherry shall be treated as Non-GATE candidate and (a) 40% weightage of marks shall be given for experience (at the rate of 4% for each completed year of experience) and (b) 60% weightage of marks shall be given for the qualifying examination (3rd to 8th Semester). The minimum service required for admission is two years of service as on 31st July of the year of admission.

I. Out of the total number of (17) seats in M.Sc.-Nursing (four specialties), 85% of the intake shall be allotted to the candidates from Puducherry UT. The remaining 15% shall be allotted to the candidates from Other States/UTs (All India basis).
II. The details of seats allocated/reserved to the various categories of candidates are as per the reservations in force (Refer Section 5).
b) Selection procedure:
Qualification for admission:
The candidates applying for admission to M.Sc (Nursing) course should have qualified with the degree of Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) / P.B.B.Sc.(Nursing) of Pondicherry University or the degree of any other University recognized as equivalent thereto by the Pondicherry University. Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST) in the B.Sc (Nursing)/ P.B.B.Sc (Nursing) course with minimum duration of 4 years / 2 years respectively in the Indian Nursing Council recognized institution. The candidates should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife of any State Nursing Council with one year work experience after registration in the Nursing Council as on 31st July of year of admission. The candidates should re-register with Tamil Nadu Nurses & Midwives Council if they had registered with any Nursing Council of Other States.
Puducherry U.T. & Other State Candidates:
The selection of candidates will be based on the marks obtained in an Entrance Examination (50%) to be conducted by the MTPG&RIHS and marks obtained in the qualifying examination (50%).
Sponsored Candidates:
Sponsored candidates from the Institute (MTPG&RIHS) shall be treated as In-service candidate and (a) 40% weightage of marks shall be given for experience (at the rate of 4% for each completed year of experience) and (b) 60% weightage of marks shall be given for the qualifying examination (B.Sc.-Nursing/ P.B.B.Sc-Nursing). The candidate will be sponsored only after completion of 5 years of regular service in the institution.

b) Selection procedure:
Qualification for admission:
The candidates applying for admission to M.P.T. course should have qualified with the degree of Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.P.T.) of Pondicherry University or the degree of any other University recognized as equivalent thereto by the Pondicherry University. Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.P.T.) course of minimum duration of 3 years of study and 6 months of compulsory rotatory internship.
Puducherry U.T. & Other State Candidates:
The selection of candidates will be based on the marks obtained in an Entrance Examination (50%) to be conducted by the MTPG&RIHS and marks obtained in the qualifying examination (50%).
