Admission notification

Applications are invited from the candidates for admission to the Basic one year training courses in Electrical and Electronics group of trades under Restructured Pattern of Craftsmen Training Scheme for the year 2010-2011 commencing from September 2010 at this institute

The admission for the above trades will be made purely on merit basis based on educational qualification

Further, on successful completion of the above one year training course, the trainees could specialize in anyone of the following modules (one year duration) in their II year course, there by the total duration of the course is two years

Modules in 2nd year: Industrial Electrician, Industrial Electronics Control; Audio Video Electronics; Process Control Instrumentation; Automobile Electrical and Electronics Systems; Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Systems

 

Educational qualification: A pass in Matriculation or its equivalent examination with the subjects of Science (Physics and Chemistry) and Mathematics, from a recognized school/institution/college

Age: Between 14 and 40 as on 1st September, 2010, relaxable for certain categories such as SC/ST, Ex-servicemen, War widows, as per govt of India rules

Fees: Tuition fees of Rs 100/- per month per trainee

Caution deposit (refundable) Rs 250/-; Library deposit (refundable) Rs 25/- (for the entire period of training)

This may be revised from time to time according to orders from govt of India, DGET Headquarters at New Delhi

Accommodation: Limited hostel facility is available only for male students at this institute campus and the Hostel rent will be Rs 10/- per month/per head. This may be revised from time to time according to orders from govt of India, DGET Headquarters at New Delhi

Stipend and Scholarship: paid as per DGET norms

Reservation: Seats are reserved for women candidates, SC/ST/OBC, Physically Handicapped and Ex-servicemen as per govt of India rules

Issue of application forms: Prescribed application forms can be had from the office of the Principal, Model Industrial training institute, Govindapuram (PO), Calicut-673016 on payment of Rs 25/- per application

Those who are desirous to get an application form by post may send with a self addressed envelope (size 110 x 240mm), affixing a postal stamp of Rs 5/- on it, along with Indian postal order for a value of Rs 25/- drawn in favour of Principal, Model ITI, Calicut payable at the Head Post office, Calicut

Registration of application forms: Duly filled in applications are to be registered at this office on payment of a registration fee of Rs 50/- in cash/in the form of IPO drawn in favour of the Principal, Model ITI, Calicut

No money order/demand draft etc will be accepted

Selected trainees have to give the affidavit as per the norms of DGE&T

The last date for receipt of filled application at this institute is 09.08.2010 up to 5.00 p.m.

Late receipt of application will not be entertained
