PG Diploma in Industrial Automation System Design (6 months programme)

The course is framed by taking into account the present day manpower requirements of industries

PG Diploma in Industrial Automation System Design (PC 100)

Core Modules: Industrial Field Instruments, PC based systems for industrial automation, Automation system integration and Engg concepts, Programmable Automation, Controllers (PAC), PLC and PID Controllers, Industrial Data Communications, SCADA/HMI Systems Development, Distributed Control System (DCS), Industrial Drives and Robotics

Duration: 5 months

Project work

Duration: 1 month

Eligibility: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Chemical Engineering/Applied Electronics and Instrumentation/Instrumentation and Control/Mechatronics/Computer Science/M.Sc in Instrumentation/M.Sc in Industrial Electronics/M.Sc in Electronics

Facilities: Industrial process controllers and Field instruments; PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens and ABB), SOFTPLC, Intellution iFix Scada, NI LabView SCADA module and SCADA Hardware; ABB DCS (Freelance 800F); Profibus, DH 485, CAN, HART Development System; Wireless Sensor Kit, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi devices; Image inspection system; LabView Express, GPIB & IMAQ Vision system; Data acquisition systems with PCI, ISA and Ethernet Fieldpoint I/O; Programmable Automation Controller (PAC); Smart Instrument Design using SoC/FPGA/DSP/Microcontroller; Industrial Robots (Scorbot ER-VII, Mitsubishi RV-M1); AB power flex 40 & ABB ACS 550 AC drives and ABB DCS 800 DC drive; Training plants set up with real sized industrial instruments and controlled through PLC and PC
