Kerala Entrance Exam 2006 Postponed
Thiruvananthapuram: Entrance examinations for professional courses in Kerala including medical and engineering streams scheduled to begin on April 24 have been postponed to mid-May due to assembly elections in the state.
As per the revised schedule, entrance examinations for engineering courses other than architecture will be held on May 16 and 17. The exams for medical, agricultural courses had been scheduled for May 18 and 19.
The aptitude test for architecture course will be held on May 21.
The exams were rescheduled as many of the centres meant for their conduct would be used as polling booths and for other election-related works.
Also, there could be shortage of staff for conduct of exams if they were held in April, an official release said here today.
Kerala's assembly elections are scheduled for April 22, 29 and May 3.
