NALSAR 2006 All India Entrance Test to be held on Sunday, the 21st of May, 2006

NALSAR, University of Law, Hyderabad, an institution of national eminence in the field of legal education and research, is a residential University established under the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University Act, 1998, (Andhra Pradesh Act 34 of 1998), provides an opportunity to explore limitless options in legal profession and setting new standards in legal education.
FIVE-YEAR B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) PROGRAMME
ELIGIBILITY Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or equivalent Examination with not less than 50% of marks in the aggregate (those appearing for the examination in March / April, 2006 can also apply).
AGE LIMIT Below 20 years as on 1st July, 2006 (22 years in case of SC/ST candidates).
TOTAL SEATS 80 (eighty) [60 seats on merit through All India Entrance Test and 20 seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit]
RESERVATION 15% for S.C. Candidates, 7.5% for S.T. candidates
FEE STRUCTURE Annual tuition fee Rs.45,000/-. Academic Service Fee and other fees, Hostel and Mess charges will be extra. Hostel residence is compulsory.
SCHOLARSHIPS The University provides liberal scholarships / fee waivers for the needy and deserving students admitted to the course.
TWO-YEAR LL.M. PROGRAMME
ELIGIBILITY LL.B./B.L. Degree or an equivalent degree of a recognised University having secured not less than 55% of marks in the aggregate.
FEE STRUCTURE Annual tuition fee Rs. 30,000/-. Academic support service and other fees, Hostel and Mess Charges will be extra. Hostel Residence is compulsory.
Admission will be strictly on merit basis through an All India Entrance Test to be conducted at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam on Sunday, the 21st of May, 2006 from 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. If sufficient applications are not received for a centre, the University reserves the right not to conduct the test at such centre.
All correspondence relating to admission should be made to the Assistant Registrar at the City Office address only. Prospectus along with prescribed application form will be available from 13th February, 2006 and can be obtained by sending a Demand Draft for Rs.1,000/-, (Rs. 500/- in case of S.C. and S.T. candidates alongwith Caste Certificate) in favour of “Registrar, NALSAR” payable at Hyderabad. Applications along with prospectus for B.A.,LL.B. (Hons.) programme will also be available at the main branches of the INDIAN BANK at specified areas by paying Rs.1,020/- (Rs.520/- in case of S.C./S.T. candidates). The closing date for requisition by post is 10th April, 2006. Application form can also be downloaded from the University website and the filled in application should be sent along with a demand draft for Rs.1,000/- (Rs.500/- for S.C./S.T.). The duly filled in form must reach the Assistant Registrar on or before 17th April, 2006. Applications received after the last date will be rejected. Previous years Test Papers can be obtained by sending a Demand Draft for Rs.600/- for B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and Rs.100/- for LL.M. drawn in favour of “Registrar, NALSAR” payable at Hyderabad. B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Test Papers can also be obtained from the branches of the Indian Bank by paying Rs.520/-. The University reserves the right to alter the pattern of the Test.
