B.Sc. (Hons.) in Hotel and Restaurant Management
This degree programme is designed to develop effective and innovative managers for the international hotel and restaurant industry of tomorrow. It offers flexibility and choice to individual students and at the same time ensures a vocationally relevant and academically rigorous programme of study. It provides the technical and managerial skills and knowledge necessary to secure appropriate employment on graduation. The terminal qualification is a B.Sc Honours Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the Oxford Brookes University. The Programme is not governed by the University Grant Commission (UGC), or the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). However, IIMT has made a formal application with AICTE for registration which is currently in process.
Having successfully completed the programme you will have developed the type of personal skills that are vital to success in industry. You will be encouraged to build a personal profile of achievement by selecting your own particular programme of study. In addition to compulsory modules your programme could involve a focus on a specific aspect of business such as finance, human resource management, marketing or operations. You will also have the opportunity to select additional modules from the Institute’s Personality Development Programmes. Students who successfully complete the programme will have an internationally recognised undergraduate degree, which makes them eligible for admission to postgraduate programmes in countries such as the UK, USA, Canada and Australia.
Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA (Hons) (3 Year full time)
The course provides a rigorous training in Business Management encompassing areas such as General Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Finance. The emphasis is on contemporary issues affecting business and problem solving, such as management of change within an increasingly dynamic environment and the development of business skills across organizations and sectors.
During the first year the student will develop an overview of business, its environment and management with essential skills and tools necessary for business life. This provides the foundations that prepare the students to take on more challenging advanced modules in the second and the third year of the degree programme. The advanced modules focus on a closer examination of the operations of business, particularly on the use and management of key resources, such as people, finance and information technology, from a strategic perspective.
Admission Process
Passed (or appearing) Class XII, Minimum 50% affregate (best of 4). Any Stream students can Apply. Admission through written test, G.D., & Interview. Prospectus in Cash or Rs.550/- DD in favor of Institute of International Management & Technology, Gurgaon.
