Admission Notification for UG Programmes - 2006
BBA, BCA, B.Sc. (A & M), BHMCT, B. Pharm.

Applications are invited for admission to following programmes of the Institute: - BBA, BCA, B.Sc. (Animation & Multimedia), Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (BHMCT) and B. Pharm. For all courses candidates must have minimum 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) in Class 10 and Class 12/ Intermediate/ equivalent examination (Qualifying Examination - QE). Further criteria are:

1. For BBA/B.Sc (A&M)/BHMCT: - Pass in QE in any stream with minimum marks as above.

2. For BCA:- Pass in QE with Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Information Practices with minimum marks as above.

3. For B.Pharm:- (a) Pass at QE with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology, with minimum marks as above and

(b) Appearing in AIEEE- 2006 OR AIPMT- 2006

Candidates appearing for Qualifying Examination can also apply, and if provisionally selected can join the programme. Proof of passing QE with required minimum marks must be provided by 31.08.2006, failing which admission will be cancelled. For all UG courses, the maximum age limit is 21 years on 01.10.2006, (26 years for SC/ST).

How to Apply:

Candidates should obtain our Undergraduate Information Brochure – 1 and Application Form to apply.
The Undergraduate Information Brochure – 1 giving details of the eligibility criteria, number of seats, fee structure, reservations and containing the prescribed application form will be available across the counter from 17 th April 2006 to 2 nd June 2006, from all our Centres on all working days during working hours, on payment by crossed Bank Draft of Rs.800/- drawn in favour of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra payable at Ranchi. Please note (a) this amount includes the processing fees (b) payment will only be accepted by crossed bank draft as above.
To receive the Undergraduate Information Brochure – 1 and form by post, send a crossed bank draft for Rs.850/- in favour of Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, payable at Ranchi, along with two self-addressed slips of paper (10 cm x 10 cm) with your name and address clearly written in block capitals and telephone number, and a letter mentioning the course applied for, to reach before 25 th May 2006. Write UG 2006 on the envelope.
Candidates may use the Application Form provided with this Brochure to apply for admission to only one of the undergraduate programme described in this Brochure. However, in the case of multi-centre programmes, candidates may use the same form to apply for any or all of the concerned Centres, mentioning the order of preference of Centre for Study.

The completed application form should be placed in the envelope provided and sent by Courier or Speed Post or Registered Post to reach the office of Dean Admissions, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi – 835215, by the dates specified (for BHMCT and B. Pharm. programmes), or Director of the concerned Extension Centre which is the first preference of Centre for Study by the dates specified for the other programmes.
