HOW TO APPLY
1. Candidates can download the application form from the website www.aimeca.org or www.aicet.org or obtain the Information Booklet and Application Form by Speed/Registered Post / courier directly by sending a written request along with the Demand Draft. The DD should be sent to AIMECA's Office for Rs. 1100/- (Rs. 250/- for application, Rs. 750/- for Examination and Rs. 100/- for Postage) to be drawn in favour of "AIMECA" payable at Chennai.
2. The candidates must follow the instructions strictly as given in the Information Bulletin. Applications not complying with the instructions will be rejected.
3. The filled in Applications should reach The President, AIMECA's office at "5110, H-Block, 1st Street, 12 Main Road, Anna Nagar, Chennai-600040"
4. All the Medical Colleges are approved by Medical Council of India, Dental Colleges by Dental Council of India, Pharmacy Colleges by Pharmacy Council of India, Nursing Colleges by Indian Nursing Council, Engineering Colleges by AICTE both UG & PG.
5. AICET- All India Common Entrance Test/Examination consists of two papers with objective type questions for all UG courses and a third paper "Aptitude Test" which is necessary for B.Arch. and B.Plan. students.
Minimum Qualification
The minimum academic qualification for admission to UG courses through AICET is a pass in the final examination of 10+2(class XII) or equivalent examination or likely to be passed, etc.,

M.D., M.S., - M.B.B.S., Degree in any recognized Institution M.E./M.Tech - B.E. or B.Tech in any discipline
M. Pharm. - B.Pharm M.Arch - B.Arch
M.D.S. - B.D.S. M.B.A. - Any Degree
M.Sc (Nursing) - B.Sc (Nursing) etc M.C.A. - Any Bachelor Degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
AICET is the only way to get admission in the colleges. Any candidate could join any college of his/her choice across the country with the AICET score.
11. The candidates must note that all admissions to the colleges all over India for various courses listed in the form are to be made only through AICET. Candidates passing the national /All India level AICET can seek admission to the college and course of their choice in their State or any other State based on their ranking in the AICET.
12. Every endeavour will be made to secure admission to all the successful candidates who take the AICET but the college and course may vary according to the ranking. If more number of students aspire for less number of seats, then there will be counseling based on the ranking. Otherwise, the course and the college will be allotted as per the candidate's choice.
13. The candidates taking up this examination can join any course : Medical, Para-Medical, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy, Engineering & Technology, Management, Architecture, Agriculture, Town Planning, Applied Arts & Crafts, Homeopathy, Ayurvedic, Siddha, Unani and Technical Education, etc., according to their eligibility to the course concerned anywhere in the country.
14 The Directions of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India has ruled that in private unaided colleges, there is no concept of a State/Government quotas. In other words, all seats in a private unaided college would be filled up by the management by following a procedure of testing the transparency, Merit, Rank of the candidate along with single-window system. Thus a fair and transparent system of an entrance examination with merit alone as a criteria has to be followed at All India level.
15 The candidates will be saved from lot of expenditure, mental agony due to hundreds of competitive examinations. The candidate should use only one application and they can write one and only examination conducted by AICET for joining any college all over India. The expenses of lacs of parents will be saved and they have a better choice for their wards in a peaceful manner. The aspirants will not be required to have several examinations in several places scattered all over India.
16 The candidates must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics individually at the qualifying examinations. Those who have taken plus two examination in the year 2003, 2004&2005 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.
17. The filled in application should be sent to "The President, All India Medical and Engineering Colleges Association, 5110, H-Block, 1 Street, 12 Main Road, Anna Nagar, Chennai-600040" enclosing the DD for Rs. 1100/- * (Rs. 250/- for Application, Rs. 750/- for Examination and Rs.100/- towards postal charges) drawn in favour of "AIMECA" payable at Chennai.
18. The Application and the Examination fee paid by the candidates will not be refunded at any cost.
19. The candidates are required to give the choice of the examination centre by mentioning the Code of the State from Appendix I and the Serial No. of the College from Appendix II convenient to them. The right to increase or delete examination centres rest with the competent authority.
20. The question papers will be framed in such a way that skill of the students irrespective of the different Board / syllabi be tested in a scientific way, by experts in each field.
21. The Question Papers for the Examination shall be based on a Common Minimum Syllabus drawn from Syllabi taught in different State Boards / Universities.
22. The hall tickets will be sent by post to the candidates on or before 3-5-2006, incase of non receipt of hall tickets, the candidates make contact All India Medical and Engineering Colleges Association, 5110, H-Block, 1 Street, 12 Main Road, Anna Nagar, Chennai-600040.
23. The questionnaire will be of objective type with four options having single correct answer and there is no Negative Marking.
24. After the examination, a complete AICET All India rank list will be prepared and the same will be sent to all students. Mark Statement and detailed format of single window admission of the candidates will also be sent to them by post.
25. All India rank list will be published in AIMECA and AICET websites to ensure transparency, Merit, Rank in admission.
Counseling for Single Window Seats Allocation, Document Verification and Admission of students.
26. The final List of admitting students through AICET 2006 will be available in the websites after the declaration of the results.
26(a)As per the Honb'le Supreme Court of India's direction, transparency, Merit, Rank List will be sent to the candidates directly through the single window counseling. Candidates can select the colleges of their own choice subject to the availability of seats.
27. Following Documents should be brought during the counseling wherein the verification will be done and allotment letter will be issued on the same day. The purpose would be to verify different records regarding identification, age, qualifying examination, state of eligibility and category of the candidate. On failing to establish any of the documents, the candidates will not be considered for admission.

28. The SC, ST and other candidates should produce the original certificates issued by the competent authorities at the time of counseling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.
